No sexual content involving minors, coercion or exploitation, identity-based slurs, threats, identifying information about others, spam, or harmful instructions.

Your confession is public

Your text goes to OpenAI for contextual screening and a generated reply. If accepted, the confession and Brother Matthew’s absolution are saved together in Supabase and immediately displayed on the wall. We retain the post number, text, reply, timestamp, status, and reactions until deletion. There is no routine approval queue. Threats and serious safety concerns may be held privately for the host; identifying details are rejected with a request to remove them. Rejected text is not stored in our application database. Provider logs and retention policies still apply. Requests use store:false, which is not a guarantee of zero provider retention.

Abuse controls and cookies

We store a keyed, pseudonymous hash of your network address to limit requests and deduplicate votes and reports. We do not save the raw address in our application database. Netlify and other service providers may process network addresses and request logs under their policies. People on the same network share limits and voting identity. A session-only browser flag remembers your 18+ confirmation. There is no advertising or analytics script. Scanning the QR Placard issues a secure, HTTP-only guest-pass cookie lasting seven days. The invitation URL is a shared entry password: anyone with it can enter while invitations are enabled. Guest passes work when public access is closed; the host can revoke them. Admin login uses a separate secure, HTTP-only cookie that expires after four hours.

Removing a confession

Use Report on a wall entry to flag it for the host. Three distinct network reports hide it automatically. For removal, ask Brother Matthew and identify the post number; the host can permanently delete it. Anonymous posts have no ownership account or self-service deletion.

For the host

Monitor the wall and reports regularly. Remove personal data promptly. Clear posts, votes, reports, and expired abuse counters when no longer needed. AI replies can be wrong or inappropriate; treat them as entertainment.
